The risk of death and severe illness in children suffering from Covid-19 is very tiny, according to a new study published in the BMJ,
The study looked at 651 children admitted to hospitals across England, Scotland and Wales with Covid-19 and showed only 1% had died of the virus as compared to 27% across all other age groups. The children who died, had profound underlying health conditions.
Those who have underlying health conditions must be extra cautious, the study holds.
