Rescued dog dies due to torture at Sanjay Gandhi Animal Care Centre pre-vets

A rescued female dog died at the Sanjay Gandhi Animal Care Centre while being treated. Viral video shows pre-vets thrashing the injured dog after she bit one of the vets. Two pre-vets have been arrested and FIR has been lodged against them. BJP MP Maneka Gandhi, owner of SGACC, issued a letter expressing her concern over the incident, said the 40-year-old animal shelter in Delhi would be shut temporarily over a "overhaul".
