Microsoft is reportedly planning to launch a web version of its xCloud game streaming service to iOS and iPadOS devices, after the software giant was unimpressed with Apple's App Store guidelines.
According to a Business Insider report, Microsoft gaming chief Phil Spencer informed employees that a "direct browser-based solution" for Apple's mobile platforms is in the works and will be arriving in 2021.
Apple had last month revised its App Store policy to allow game streaming services but said that all games need to be downloaded directly from the App Store, not from an all-in-one app.
