Red Fort violence: Man who was swinging swords arrested

A 30-year-old man who was allegedly swinging swords during the violence at the Red Fort on Republic Day has been arrested, police said on Wednesday. Maninder Singh, who works as a car AC mechanic, was arrested from Pitampura in northwest Delhi on Wednesday morning. Police said that Singh was seen in a video swinging two swords at Red Fort with intent to motivate or radicalise the protesters. The suspect, who runs a sword-training school in an empty plot near his house in Delhi's Swaroop Nagar, used to frequently visit Singhu Border and was highly motivated by speeches made by leaders there", police said.
