The market mayhem on Monday played havoc for bond street as well as the Rupee plunged past the 75 mark but reports indicate the central bank stepped in to save the day for the currency.

As per unconfirmed reports RBI sold an estimated $600 million in the exchange traded futures market to contain the fall of the rupee against the US dollar.
