RBI to seek EC nod on revised stressed assets framework

The Reserve Bank is likely to approach the Election Commission on the issuance of a revised framework, for a resolution on the stressed assets. Guidelines are expected to be released before the 23rd of May. The move comes after the Supreme Court quashed the February 12 circular, terming it unconstitutional. Central bank governor Shaktikanta Das had announced that a revised set of rules on non-performing assets was being processed.
