RBI to issue new 'greenish yellow' ₹20 note

The Reserve Bank of India will soon introduce new ₹20 notes and they they will be 'greenish yellow' in colour and be part of the ongoing Mahatma Gandhi series. The new note will bear the signature of the current RBI governor Shaktikanta Das and will have a motif of the Ellora Caves on the reverse. RBI also said that the note will have other designs, geometric patterns aligning with the overall colour scheme, both at the obverse and reverse. Previous 20 rupee banknotes will continue to be legal tender
