Rare sight: Himalayan Serow captured on camera in Spiti

In a rare moment, a Himalayan Serow was spotted at a village in Spiti for the first time and was captured on camera.

The animal was seen by people of the Hurling village, after which a team from the wildlife department went to rescue it.

Reports stated that the serow, which is categorised as endangered by the International Union for Conservation for Nature, could have come from the Rupi Bhawa wildlife sanctuary.
