Rare right whale calf spotted off the Atlantic coast

Conservationists rejoiced after a rare right whale calf was spotted off the Atlantic coast, near the St Johns river in Florida. It is a critically endangered species and scientists affirm that only about 450 North Atlantic right whales remain. According to the Fish and Wildlife Research Institute, it was the first calf sighting of the whale’s winter calving season.
