Ramdev's firm told to share profits with Uttarakhand locals

The Uttarakhand High Court has told a company run by Ramdev to share a percentage of its profits with local farmers and communities. The court upheld fair and equitable benefit-sharing under the Biological Diversity Act, saying if biological resources are the main raw materials for the manufacture of ayurvedic products, then profit should be shared with farmers who grow them.
