Rakesh Jhunjhunwala buys stake in this PSU bank

Big bull Rakesh Jhunjhunwala has acquired a 1.59% stake in state-run Canara Bank during the first quarter of 2021, as per the BSE's shareholding data.

The 'Warren Buffett of India' bought 2.88 crore shares of the Bengaluru-based bank during the April-June quarter of 2021.

Rakesh also bought stakes in Steel Authority of India and Indiabulls Housing Finance in the same period of this year.

Retail investors and institutions track Rakesh Jhunjhunwala's portfolio for value picks. Stocks of Canara Bank are up almost 7% in the last one month. Whereas, scrips of SAIL and Indiabulls housing finance are down almost 6% and 20%, respectively, in the same period.
