In a horrific incident in Rajasthan a 55-year-old woman was found dead with her throat slit and feet severed in Jamwaramgarh area of Jaipur rural. Police suspect it to be a case of theft.

Police said that the victim, Geeta Devi, was grazing her cattle in her field on Tuesday when some assailants chopped off her legs. She also suffered injuries in her neck. They fled with her silver anklets. 30 Police teams are searching for them, police said.

Angry over the brutal killing, locals protested with her body; demanding compensation and job for her family member and strict punishment for assailants.

Slamming the state government for rising crimes, BJP leader Rajayvardhan Singh Rathore said that such crimes have become common in Rajasthan. He alleged that such incidents are concealed by the state govt and police so that they don't appear in media.
