Congress leaders Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi met with the family of the Dalit girl who died at a Delhi hospital after she was allegedly gangraped and assaulted for upper caste men in her village in Hathras. The brother-sister duo drove to the Uttar Pradesh district with Priyanka on wheels. The Yogi Aditynath government allowed five Congress leaders to meet the family after briefly stopping them at the highway near Nodia. This was the second attempt of the Gandhis to visit the family, the first one on Thursday ended in a tussle with police who refused to let Rahul pass, citing orders banning large gatherings amid coronavirus concerns. Pictures had showed that the former Congress president was shoved to the ground in the chaos that followed.
