Quick fixes to cut sugar from your diet

Sugar cravings are the most difficult to control, especially if you have a sweet tooth. It also makes a sneaky appearance in fruit juices and other beverages. The Food Safety and Standards Authority of India has some quick fixes, so you can cut down on your sugar intake.

#1 Say no to sneaky sugars

Replace your carbonated and sweetened beverages with healthier alternatives like coconut water or smoothies.

#2 Ditch canned foods

Choose fresh fruits and vegetables over canned ones. Canned fruits have added sugars along with preservatives to enhance shelf life. 

#3 Be wise with your dips

Instead of bottled sauces and ketchup, go for homemade chutneys to spruce up your meal. It'll help you cut the sugar content.
