PSU bank privatisation: IOB & Central Bank likely approved candidates

Indian Overseas Bank and Central Bank could be the possible candidates for the Central government's privatisation plan, as per reports.

A high-level panel headed by the cabinet secretary on Monday reportedly cleared the names of two PSU banks for privatisation as suggested by the NITI Ayog.

The government has budgeted ₹1.75 lakh crore from stake sale in public sector companies and financial institutions, including two PSU banks and one insurance company, during the current financial year
