A piece of royal history didn't find a buyer at an auction. Princess Diana's famous blue velvet gown that she wore during her iconic dance with John Travolta at a 1985 White House state dinner failed to sell at the Kerry Taylor Auctions in London.
The gown was expected to fetch over 3 crore rupees, but bids failed to reach the reserve price of around 1.8 crore.
However, two of her other dresses were sold above the estimated price. These included the Katherine Cusack midnight blue velvet evening gown and the short navy Catherine Walker day outfit.
