Goals from Diego Jota, Mohd Salah and Trent Alexander-Arnold were enough for Liverpool as they eased past Newcastle United on Thursday night in the Premier League. Playing for 3 points at home, Jurgen Klopp's team were never in a spot of bother as they dominated the proceedings.

Newcastle though, had the better start with a goal in the opening 10 minutes through Jonjo Shelvey. Things immediately went downhill for the club as they struggled with their defence as the home side pumped in 3 goals on the night to win 3-1.

Liverpool remain 2nd on the table after the comfortable win but Newcastle slip further and are now 19th on the table in the relegation zone.
