Premier League: Chilwell, Werner score late as Chelsea thrash 10-man Southampton 3-1

2 late goals from Timo Werner and Ben Chilwell helped Chelsea defeat Southampton 3-1 at Stamford Bridge in Saturday's Premier League match. Trevoh Chalobah opened the scoreline for the Blues just in the 9th minute of the match. While a winless Southampton kept pushing throughout the first half, they only got the breakthrough in the 61st minute when James Ward Prowse capitalised on a penalty.

Werner and Chilwell scored goals in the 84th and 89th minute respectively, as their team returned to winning ways. With their brilliant performance, Thomas Tuchel's men have now dethroned Liverpool to claim the top spot. Southampton is pushed down to the seventeenth spot on the table.
