After a long negotiations with organisers, Berlin police force said they would break up the gathering of corona skeptics who had descended in the German capital, after a court reversed a ban on their protest. The court had allowed the protest to go ahead under certain conditions as it had felt that there was no indication that organisers would deliberately ignore social distancing rules.
Police had warned that if the demonstrators did not adhere to virus safety rules, they would clear the area.
Earlier, the protest ban had sparked an outrage, with organisers and supporters vowing to protest anyway.
