Pocso amendments: Now, death penalty for sex assault on minors

The cabinet has moved amendments to the POCSO Act, under which accused will be given the death penalty for aggravated penetrative sexual assault against children. Law Minister said, the government also made provisions to protect children from being abused in natural calamities and disasters. To curb child pornography, the amendment levies a heavy fine for not deleting child pornographic material.
