Vishwesha Theertha Swami of Pejawar Math in Udupi, Karnataka died on Sunday after a brief illness. One of prominent religious leaders of South India, the 88-year old was admitted to a hospital in Manipal a few days ago for breathing difficulty. Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Karnataka Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa have condoled the death of the seer. 3-day state mourning has been declared in the Karnataka.
