PayTm to be toppled as most valuable Indian startup, look who climbed to pole post

That answer is about to change with Byju's set to raise $150 million from UBS in a round of funding that will value the ed-tech giant at $16.5 billion. This valuation takes Byju's to the pole position as India's most valued startup toppling Softbank backed PayTm which is valued at $16 billion. 

From exam prep centres Akash Educational Services to coding startup Whitehat, Byju's has had a busy pandemic year with acquisition and fund raising. 
Byju's said it has seen over 20 million new students starting learning from its platform for free since the lockdown.The app currently has over 64 million registered students and 4.2 million annual paid subscriptions.
