It also achieved 3-stars for child occupant safety with 36.68 points out of 49. The Urban Cruiser is a badge-engineered Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza and the results are on par with its Maruti sibling. However, the Urban Cruiser scored a far better rating in child safety when compared to the Vitara Brezza which received only 2 stars by Global NCAP. The results also pointed out that the body shell of the car was stable. The base trim of the Urban Cruiser tested was equipped with standard safety features like dual airbags, front seatbelt pre-tensioners, ISOFIX child seat anchorage and ABS.
