The latest Global NCAP crash test results have the segment-leading Hyundai Creta compact SUV and the pricey and well-loaded Hyundai i20 hatchback score 3 stars for adult occupant protection. The Hyundai Creta has barely made it to the 3 Star mark with just 8 points out of the maximum 17, much like its platform-sharing cousin the Kia Seltos. The Creta though managed a better score for child occupant protection with three stars as scored 28.29 points out of 49, much higher compared to the Seltos which received only two stars. The crash test results reported the Creta's body shell to be unstable with a higher risk of likely injury to the legs and feet of the front passengers.
