BMW India has finally launched the new i4 electric sedan at an introductory price of Rs. 69.90 lakh. The all-electric offering is available in a fully loaded i4 eDrive40 variant. This is BMW Group’s third electric offering in India after the iX and the MINI Cooper SE. The i4 comes with the fifth-generation BMW eDrive technology with the electric motor churning out 335 bhp and 430 Nm of peak torque. The sedan can sprint from 0-100 kmph in 5.7 seconds. The i4 has a slim 110 mm high-voltage, floor-mounted 80.7 kWh lithium-ion battery pack. The battery can offer a range of up to 590 km, which makes the i4 the longest-range electric vehicle on sale in the country. As an introductory offer, BMW is offering the i4 with a complimentary 11 kW wall box charger to customers. The AC charger will be able to fully charge the car in 8.25 hours. Online bookings for the new BMW i4 begin today while deliveries will commence by early July.
