Paris' Champs-Elysees, which is often dubbed as the world's most beautiful avenue, is all set to be transformed into an 'extraordinary garden' after the Mayor of Paris' green signal, The Gaurdian reported.

The €250m makeover will turn the 1.9 km stretch into a garden, though it will not happen before the 2024 Summer Olympics set to be held in the French capital.

The plan includes cutting down on cars by half, enhancing the number of trees to improve air quality and bring in pedestrian areas. The report further added that the Champs-Elysees committee has been asking for a redesign of the area since 2018. The aim is to give the avenue a complete makeover by 2030.
