Paris 2024 to be held outside traditional stadium, organisers reveal

The Paris Olympics organisers unveiled their vision for the next Games' opening ceremony and said that it will take place on cruising boats on the La Seine river.

The one-of-a-kind opening ceremony that would take place on July 26th 2024 will be free for hundreds and thousands of people to watch from the riverside. Over 6,00,000 spectators are expected on the 6 km long route for the water-borne ceremony. This will be for the first time that the ceremony will be held outside of the traditional stadiums.

Paris organisers had long-hinted this development. As per the details they wanted to use the City of Lights, its culture, and people as essential actors in the Olympics.
