The body of a farmer was allegedly gnawed at by rats at the mortuary of the civil hospital in Haryana’s Sonepat district. 70-year-old Rajender Saroha who had been participating in the farmer protest at the Kundli border was kept at the Sonipat hospital for autopsy. The incident came to light on Thursday morning when the Rajender’s family found injury marks on his face and foot. The incident has prompted authorities to order a probe.  The Congress attacked the ruling BJP government in Haryana saying "such a painful situation may not have been witnessed over the past 73 years". Senior Congress leader Randeep Singh Surjewala in a tweet said the “BJP government acts as a mute spectator” even as a farmer’s body is nibbled by rodents.
