One time parking fees to be hiked by 18 times in Delhi

Car buyers in Delhi will now have to pay a higher one-time parking fees. The charges will now range from between Rs. 6,000 to Rs. 75,000 and have been approved by the three municipal councils. An order issued on Friday by outgoing Transport Commissioner Varsha Joshi said that the new parking charges will be applicable from 1 January, 2019. Disgruntled transporters have threatened to stage a protest against the hike.
