After facing harsh criticism and a hard-hitting suspension from the England Cricket Board, English cricketer Ollie Robinson who recently made his international debut has decided to take a short break from cricket.

Robinson's offensive past Tweets came to the fore recently during his debut for England last week. The English board launched a probe into his 8-year-old Tweets which are allegedly racist and sexist.

His County Cricket club, Sussex shark in a statement revealed the decision of the 27-year-old. Lending their support, the club said that the cricketer had decided to take a short break after a difficult week and that he will be welcomed back whenever he wants to return.
