Oldest sweet shop in the world is going up for sale

The oldest sweet shop in the world, located in North Yorkshire in the UK, is going up for sale as its owner has decided to contest in the next police, fire and crime elections. Aptly named the 'Oldest Sweet Shop in England', the Patley Bridge Store opened in 1827. It has been run by 63-year-old Keith Tordoff for over 20 years now, who has also worked as a detective. The shop was recognised by Guinness World Records in 2014 and is expected to sell for £399,000 or over Rs 3 cr 73 lakhs.
