Gone are the days when owning a radio was a matter of huge pride and accomplishment. In 2021, radios have become almost a thing of the past.

But Hyderabad's Mahboob Radio Service, which opened in 1948 continues to stand the test of time. Here you get a glimpse into the world of radios, transistors, tape recorders and tube TV sets.

The radio centre is now among the few places where 'old tech' can be fixed and people from across the globe send their radios for repair.

Run by brothers Md Moinuddin and Md Mujeebuddin, one can spot radios from decades ago belonging to companies like Phillips, Murphy, GEC and Johnson at the service centre.
