Odisha govt. to undertake beautification work of Konark Sun temple

The government in Odisha announced on Thursday that it will undertake a project to beautify the Konark Sun Temple.

A draft plan for the modalities of the UNESCO site has been prepared. With the new project, authorities hope to attract more tourists and ensure conservation of the temple.

A 6-lane outer ring road and a Konark entry plaza will be constructed. Other developments will include special roads for pedestrians, multi-modal hubs for parking and redesigning of the Konark theatre, ANI reported.
