After a gap of almost five months, the iconic Hazrat Nizamuddin Dargah in New Delhi has reopened for devotees but with new rules and regulations in place.

Keeping the Covid-19 situation in mind, Qawwali evenings at the shrine have been cancelled to avoid large gatherings.

Use of face covers, masks and social distancing will be mandatory at the dargah. Additionally, sanitisers have been placed across the premises.

To prevent transmission of the virus, the graves of Amir Khusro and Hazrat Nizamuddin Aulia have been covered with a plastic sheet so devotees don't touch them. Separate entry and exit points and floor markings will ensure devotees maintain distance.

The footfall will be assessed in the coming days and accordingly crowd management measures may be undertaken.
