The Supreme Court on Tuesday told petitioners seeking a probe into the Pegasus scandal that they should refrain from participating in "parallel debates on social media" on the issue.
The court urged the petitioners to "have faith in the system" and "say whatever they have say on the issue inside the court.
The Supreme Court said that it would decide next Monday whether or not to issue notice in the petitions pertaining to the Pegasus scandal.
On the last date of hearing, the court had remarked that the allegations in news reports regarding the Pegasus controversy are serious in nature if true.
Following the revelations in media regarding alleged snooping, a number of petitions have been filed by senior journalists, lawyers and Editors Guild before the Supreme Court seeking a probe.
