Babus beware! No more tell-alls now! The central government has amended rules to bar officials, who have retired after serving in intelligence and security-related organisations, from publishing any material related to their jobs.
The govt notification stated that no officials in intelligence-related departments will be allowed to publish any material related to their former departments after retirement without prior permission. The barred material includes " anything that would prejudicially affect the sovereignty and integrity of India, the security, strategic, scientific or economic interests of the State..."
The govt order has stated that any official who fails to comply with the new rules will risk losing pension and other post-retirement benefits.
