New Zealand has opened its first large vaccination clinic as it aims to scale up efforts to protect people from the coronavirus pandemic. The clinic in south Auckland will initially target household members of border workers and their families, as they are more likely to contract the disease from the travellers. 150 people a day will get vaccinated initially and the numbers will increase with time, Director-General of Health Ashley Bloomfield said. The Health officials plan to open two more clinics in Auckland over the next few weeks.
