New guidelines for meat industry in the US

The United States Department of Agriculture is in the process of issuing new guidelines for the food industry after a spike in the number of product recalls from meat and poultry brands in the country. The government has recorded that since early 2018 meat giants such as Tyson Foods launched recalls of millions of pounds of meat due to the potential contamination of products with substances such as metal, rubber, wood, and even plastic. The guidelines will help companies navigate and take action for such complaints.
