With over 2.6 crore Covid-19 cases, India is now the 2nd worst-hit country in the world. The new Covid-19 variants are spreading faster, and there are new symptoms as well.
Symptoms such as fever, breathlessness, body ache, dry and persistent cough, and loss of smell and taste were already prevailing.

Mutations in the virus are also causing conjunctivitis, sore throat, headache, rashes, upset stomach and discolouration of fingers and toes.
Experts have also flagged a strange symptom called Covid Tongue in which the tongue may appear white and patchy. Xerostomia or dry mouth can also occur wherein salivary glands don’t make enough saliva to keep the mouth wet.
Dysfunction of Eustachian Tube or hearing loss with symptoms such as muffled hearing, reduced hearing, ear pain, should not be ruled out as symptom.
Covid-19 can also affect the gastrointestinal tract, disrupting its functioning and can even cause bleeding in the tract.
