In a bid to save Mt. Everest from turning into a garbage dump, the trash collected is all set to be transformed into art and displayed in a nearby gallery, a Reuters report said.
Project director of the Sagarmatha Next Centre, involved in up-cycling, stated local and foreign artists will be involved in converting trash to treasure.
The centre is located at Syangboche, on the Everest base camp trail. The artworks will be displayed to raise awareness or sold to raise proceeds for conservation of the region.
