NCLT helps recover ₹80,000cr from insolvency cases in 2018

As per government estimates, the National Company Law Tribunal or NCLT has helped resolve insolvency and bankruptcy proceedings worth 80,000 crore rupees in 2018 and is expected to cross the 1 trillion rupees threshold in 2019. The government is also planning to strengthen the number of judges, increase benches and provide adequate infrastructure to fast-track bankruptcy cases. Also the IBC act since implementation in December 2016 has helped recover stressed assets worth 3 trillion rupees.
