National capital to get 11 new city forests this year

The National Capital is all set for a green makeover. According to the Forest Department officials, Delhi will get 11 new city forests this year, and 6 of these will be open to the public during the monsoon season. They will be equipped with jogging tracks, gazebos and drinking water among other facilities. Limited public activity will be permitted in these areas to conserve the forests. The Shastri Park and Garhi Mandu forests are expected to open around the third week of July.
