NASA is planning to fly its mini-helicopter, 'Ingenuity', attached to the Perseverance Rover on Mars. The mini copter will attempt its first-ever controlled flight on April 8.

The 1.8kg rotorcraft, when deployed, will have 30 Martian days to conduct its test flight. The test flight could expand the scope of Mars exploration if successful.

NASA shared that while getting deployed on the surface of Mars will be a big challenge, surviving the first night without the rover protecting the surface of the helicopter, will be an even bigger one.
