SpaceX CEO Elon Musk said during his keynote at MWC 2021 that he wants the Starlink satellite internet service to have at least 5,00,000 users within a year.
SpaceX currently plans to able to beam broadband internet to most of the planet by August, Musk said.

The network is currently in open beta, having launched more than 1,700 satellites to low-Earth orbit since 2018, and as Musk told MWC, recently passed the ‘strategically important’ user count of 69,420.
Elon Musk said that he considers satellite internet as a complementary technology to 5G, rather than competing with it.
