Muslim youth thrashed in Kanpur for not chanting 'Jai Shri Ram'

A 16-year-old Muslim boy was reportedly thrashed by unidentified men in Kanpur for not chanting 'Jai Shri Ram.' Mohammad Taj, a resident of Kanpur's Barra area got into a scuffle with some bike-borne men after he allegedly overtook them. The men objected to Taj wearing a skullcap, and thrashed him after he refused to chant 'Jai Shri Ram.' An FIR has been filed and police are probing the case.
