At least 32 people have died in rain-related incidents in Mumbai, as incessant rain pummeled the Mumbai on Sunday. Authorities have reported two instances of landslides, two of electrocution, and one incident where a wall collapse claimed the life of a 16-year-old boy.
As many as 29 people were killed in two different incidents of wall collapse due to a landslide in Chembur and Vikroli. No rescue operations are slated for Monday.
Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray on Sunday chaired a meeting with top officials to review preparedness of various government agencies to tackle emergency situation as heavy rain lashed the city.

Incessant heavy rainfall along with major thunderstorms brought Mumbai to a standstill, causing severe water-logging and traffic disruptions in the financial capital from Saturday.
An orange alert has been issued for Mumbai and coastal Maharashtra for the next five days, as the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation continues to shift people out of low-lying areas, and where landslides are anticipated.
