With local train services set to resume in Mumbai from August 15, the BMC has started issuing monthly passes to those who are fully vaccinated.

Here's what you need to know to get a travel pass:

1. Passes will be issued only after verification of the vaccination status.

2. A person who has completed 14 days, after getting the second dose of vaccine will be allowed to board suburban trains from August 15.

3. To purchase a pass, you are required to carry a hard copy of your vaccination certificate and a photo ID for verification.

4. 358 help desks across 53 railway stations under the BMC's jurisdiction will be there to assist commuters. They will be operating from 7am to 11pm in two consecutive sessions.

5. QR code-based passes will be issued from 65 railway stations in Mumbai. These will help railway authorities verify the authenticity of those travelling.

6. BMC has warned that strict legal action will be taken if fake vaccination certificates are produced to get passes.
