The Economic Offences Wing of the Delhi police has arrested Manpreet Chadha, vice-chairman of Wave Group, in connection with a fraud case at the airport today. Manpreet alias Monty allegedly cheated several people by making fake promises of providing flats at cheaper rates. According to The Hindu, the son of late liquor baron Ponty Chadha, was trying to escape to Phuket after coming under the scanner for a fraud that amounts to about Rs 100 crore.
Update: Manpreet Singh Chaddha has since been exonerated of all the allegations leading to his
acquittal.
