Mohammad Azharuddin was re-instated as President of the Hyderabad Cricket Association by Ombudsman Justice (retd) Deepak Verma on Sunday. Apart from that, Verma also temporarily disqualified 5 members of the Apex Council, who had suspended the former India captain.

Allegations of Conflict of Interest were levelled against Azharuddin and the Apex Council had suspended him for alleged violation of the constitution. However, Justice Verma in his order pointed out that the complaint against Azharuddin was not forwarded to Ombudsman and in effect has no legal validity.
