Rescue effort to save 15 trapped coal miners in Meghalaya entered 19th day but there is no sign of a major breakthrough yet. Divers from the Indian Navy and National Disaster Response Force will attempt to reach the bottom of the water-flooded mine again. They attempted a dive into the 370-foot deep pit on Sunday, but they were not successful in reaching the bottom of the pit. The divers have hi-tech equipment and have a remotely-operated vehicle at their disposal to aid the rescue effort. High power pumps are being used to lower the water level in the pit.
